Lake Race Broadcast Partner

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 17, 2016

Lake Race 2016 secures a new broadcast partner! St. Louis Television station KPLR Channel 11 CW will be added to the broadcast coverage of this 4th year event held at Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday, June 4th.

KPLR joins The Ozarks CW-Springfield, part of the KY3 family of stations, and My Network, part of the KMIZ Columbia/Jefferson City family of television stations. Co-Mo Connect will again be offering the race coverage to its customers around the lake and up thru the St. Joseph market. U-Stream will also be available for mobile viewing.

Dennis Klautzer, Owner and General Manager of KRMS, 935 Rocks and Viper Television productions said “Television viewing for boat racing has really grown in the past two years. Fans are really getting turned on as evidence of the OPA Race Coverage our team provided for the Offshore National Championships at Englewood, Florida in November posting huge ratings beating out NFL Football on the Tampa/Sarasota/St. Petersburg ABC Television. The increased number of viewers across Missouri is another reason for the attention we received from KPLR.”

The KRMS radio broadcast team will consist of Sports Director Brendan Mathews and Boat Racing Expert Captain Shane Sherman. Sportscasters from KY3, KMIZ and KPLR will also be joining in as well.

935 Rocks the Lake will again be providing update reports during this one day of boat racing that will take place from the Bagnell Dam up to the 4 mile marker and back. Huge crowds of spectators form lines of rafted up boats and many condos and private homes have watch parties during Lake Race. For more information on Lake Race, visit www.LakeRace.com.
