Welcome to Race 3 of the 2010 OPA Offshore Racing Series Presented by Geico,
    Come race on this beautiful water in front of the Beacon Cove Marina. The Concorde Inn Hotel (586-493-7300) is the sponsor hotel for this event and is currently sold out. The Beacon Cove Marina is sponsoring the wet and dry pits for some awesome racing. We now have a second hotel, The Hampton Inn, right down the road from the Beacon Cove Marina that has rooms available at $75.00 a night! Call 586-792-1500 and use the code “OPA” for this special pricing. A helicopter will be filming the race from above so make sure your boat shines for the camera. OPA is also working on incentives to bring up the smaller race boats to Michigan. Fuel is available at the Beacon Cove Marina and is 91 octane and is ethanol free. Anyone that is also racing in St Clair can leave their boat at Ed Smith's Rivers Bend Marina for the week so that you can save on travel expenses. Ed Smith will have a 500 gallon tank of 90 Octane fuel and a 1000 gallon tank of 112 Octane fuel. If you need any other fuel requirements you can call the Rivers Bend Marina at 810-329-2908. You should also call if you want to leave your boats and trucks up there for the week so that Julie knows how many are staying there. There is plenty of room for race boats and their trucks. Please just make sure you park all cars outside the dry pit area so that we have room at both race sites.. OPA will issue parking passes for the event.
