To All Race Teams, Things you must have done before ST Clair Race:
GPS Information:

This GPS information is critical to us keeping track of any race boat that breaks out of it’s intended speed class. If you as fans are interested in what class’ and their associated speeds are,  just visit our web site at http://www.oparacing.org.

Too many teams are showing up to race without the tracking device, or without pieces of it.

The problem I see is everyone is loaning their units to other teams, and not getting them back in operating condition. The tracking device is as important to what we do as your propeller is. From this day forward. The serial number of your tracking device must match your boat. It is now deemed Illegal to borrow or loan the device. Any team that does not have a functioning tracking device with a matching serial number to their boat will suffer the following circumstances.

You will be allowed to race but only for last place finish and points.

At the next OPA race, which is in St Clair, all boats will be checked for RPM and limiters. They must work. Prop calculations will be inforced. This is a flat water drag race, and I feel I need to step up the enforcement to insure parity in the classes.
I have noticed a number of teams running multiple limiting devices. This is an unfair advantage, especially in a river with a current. Only one RPM limiting device is legal. The second must be removed.

Any team found with dual limiters or cut off switches, will receive last place points.

We will be randomly checking boats on Saturday in St Clair.

You will need to visit the registration table on Friday at 3pm to 4pm only tohave your GPS unit checked for functionality.

Physicals:

All racers must have their COPIES of their physicals before the St. Clair race or you DO NOT RACE! Physicals can be done at your local airport for a lower class license, through your doctor, or your CDL will suffice! We must have a copy to keep in your files. NO MORE EXCUSES!

Greetings,

Good Luck on the upcoming season,  we look forward to seeing you all in July here in our fair city of St. Clair.  Sea Quest Kids is again looking at building boats with the kids and hope we can get more drivers to race with those kids in the Pine River Classic...

We also want to talk with other race venues to bring Sea Quest Kids "the little league of boating" to the kids of the racing circuit..
