The Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA Racing) End of 2024 Season Cancellation, Congratulates Champions, and Previews Exciting 2025 Schedule

Brick, NJ – December 2, 2024 – It was with a heavy heart that the Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA Racing) announced the cancellation of the final race event of the 2024 season, Englewood Beach Waterfest. This difficult decision came in the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Milton, which caused significant damage to the West Coast Florida communities, particularly Englewood Beach.

"We understand how much our fans, teams and partners were looking forward to the Englewood Beach Waterfest as the season finale," said OPA Racing Vice President Nick Smith. "While it was heartbreaking to make this decision, the safety of everyone involved and the restoration of the affected communities was our priority. We look forward to returning to Englewood Beach in 2025 and seeing all of our great fans again."

OPA Racing extends its heartfelt thanks to the attendees of the Englewood Beach Block Party last month. Your support for the local community, which has been a longstanding supporter of offshore racing, has been invaluable during this challenging time.
