THE FIRST OPA INTERNATIONAL POWER BOAT RACE

07/252011

Get ready for one of the biggest power boat races ever seen. This is the first year that OPA and Port Huron/Sarnia has prepared to get together to do an International power boat race. There will be thousands of people watching this event from the Sarnia, Canada side and the Port Huron, Michigan side. After doing a site review I have found that this race site is set up perfectly for a power boat race. The dry pits consists of a huge area where you can hook up to water or power if needed.

It is located right on the riverfront bulkhead and has a view of Canada clearly. The wet pits are right next to the dry pits and the wet pits have amenities such as showers and bathrooms inside along with a small marine store and ice available. There are also three gas pumps that have E-Free gas plus regular gas and Diesel. There will be a crane set up at one end the wet pits and their is also a travel lift available. There is parking right across the street for all trailers so you don’t have to bring them back to the dry pits. Only a few blocks away is a very large ramp area where 6 people can dunk their boats at a time and parking for their trailers right there. This is going to be one of the most exciting races ever. See everyone in Port Huron August 5th-7th.
