ABOUT BUILD-A-BIKE

In 2012, OPTIMA® Batteries has partnered with the Golden State Foods Foundation to include a charitable Build-A-Bike program into its street car events to serve children. Many of us can remember customizing our bikes as kids with the coolest decals, chrome cranks or pegs, better grips and seat. This is where we first discovered our passion and the pride we felt after working on our vehicle.

With its new Build-A-Bike program OPTIMA wants to help instill that same passion and pride in kids across America by providing them an opportunity to build and customize their own bicycle with the help of automotive experts and enthusiasts. Ultimately we hope this will encourage more people to join the automotive enthusiast community and support our industry as a whole while giving these children a memorable and positive experience.

The goal in 2012 is to raise funds for hundreds of bikes and helmets. All of the funds OPTIMA raises will be donated to the Golden State Foods Foundation who will use the money to purchase the bikes and helmets we need and help us further our mission.
